Overview

I offer online supervision sessions for Open Floor teachers to be supported in their teaching, with time and space to articulate and unpack issues that inevitably arise. I offer a supportive environment for you to look at your concerns around building your practice and further establish yourself as an Open Floor teacher, for example with:

• Setting up your classes or workshops and the practicalities around building your dancing community

• Issues that occur in the dynamics with your dancers

• The specific ways you teach the Open Floor curriculum

• Your personal journey as a teacher, issues around visibility and leadership

The aim of supervision is that each of you can get support to enjoy joyful productivity, develop your practice, and thrive in your work.

Why with me (Sarah Davies)? 

• I teach an Open Floor class that has run for many years, every week. 

• I started a class in a village, at first hardly anyone came, years later it is a thriving prosperous community of dancers. I have working experience of the ups and downs of growing a group from scratch.

• I am one of the Trainers of the recent Open Floor Teacher Training

• I have taught conscious dance (5R & OF) for more than 10,000 hours (the amount of time considered for expertise)

• I have a diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy, currently studying for an MA at the Gestalt Centre in London

• I continue to have my own regular supervision, that I have had for years, I know the power of being supported in supervision

• I’m interested in exploring ways to reach potential dancers, having studied ‘conscious marketing’.

• I’m a founding member and was a working member of Open Floor for 12 years, I have continued up-to-date knowledge of the workings of the organisation.
